Denobulans are humanoid species from planet Denobula.They have prominent facial ridges running down either side of the forehead to the cheeks, They have a high receded hairline.

Denobulan - First Attempt

Work on prosthetics for Denobulan started even before the first shooting. Actor playing Denobulan engineer Çelik (Sokar) and director (Annie)  visited starbase Titan where Margh started with the first version of Denobulan prosthetics.

However, because of new, untested material, the mask shrunk and new attempt was required :-)

Denobulan - Second Attempt

Denobulan forehead is modeled on a positive of a face. This will be used for creation of a mold. In this particular case clay is used to create borders for the future mold. In the next step, liquid plaster is poured into the hollow space and the result is mold of denobulan head.

Application of the Prosthetics

Application of the prosthetics is done in several steps, directly during shooting. The make-over time from actor to Denobulan is approximately two and half hours.
